A Call for Creative Connections
The current proposal for the eastern D2 junction at Swiss Avenue and Good Latimer - referred to as the Swiss Avenue “Wye” Junction - has been met with neighborhood concern that pedestrian safety, public amenities, future land development, and traffic flow could be better addressed. This concern threatens to delay the design and construction of D2.
AIA Dallas and the D2 Advisory Committee, in partnership with the Communities by Design Committee, are looking for creative ideas and design solutions from its members to help address these concerns.
Sign up to participate in a design charrette to examine and propose improved architectural and urban design alternatives for the eastern end of the proposed D2 line. Deadline to register is Friday, June 4.
Charrette Schedule
Fri, June 4 @ 4pm – Site Visit & Charrette Kickoff and Deadline to Register.
Mon, June 14 @ 12pm – Deadline to submit presentations to AIA Dallas.
Mon, June 14 @ 5:30 pm – Presentations, in person only. Teams will have 5 minutes to present their design solutions, followed by a group discussion.
