SUMMARY:Coffee & Conversation: Dallas Parking Reform
DESCRIPTION:Presented by HOK-Dallas\, Organized by the Public Policy Committee \nAIA Dallas is proud to host a conversation about parking reform in Dallas on Tuesday\, April 9 at 8:30am. Our panel includes fellow architects and members of the Zoning Ordinance Advisory Committee — Tip Housewright\, FAIA and Ryan Behring – and city planners Sarah May and Michael Wade. \nWe will learn more about the city’s current proposal to remove mandatory parking in the development code and to add additional requirements for design and Transportation Demand Management Plans. \nIn December 2021\, AIA Dallas hosted esteemed parking reform expert Dr. Donald Shoup for a discussion about parking requirements in Dallas. This is an exciting conversation and next step in the policy process to reform parking mandates across Dallas. Join us to learn more. \nThis is a hybrid event.  No registration is required to attend in-person at AD EX\, or register to attend virtually via Zoom to receive the meeting link.
