Interior Designer
Alliance Architects is currently seeking an Interior Designer for a full-time position. Primary responsibilities of this position include interior design as part of an architectural project team along with standalone interior design projects; preparation of construction documents, graphic presentation, coordination with engineering sub-consultants and construction administration support; preparation of furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E) documents. This position is targeted at individuals who have worked within the commercial interior design profession for 2-5 years. Successful candidates should possess a well-rounded knowledge of the design/production and construction process, including the following skills, attributes, and credentials:
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist with overall creative scope of projects.
· Participate in presentations and meetings with clients and prospective clients.
· Participate in all phases of design for multiple projects collaborating with other team members and clients.
· Participate in preparation of programs and space planning concepts.
· Specify and select furniture systems.
· Select and specify color palettes.
· Knowledge of material costs and staying current on design trends.
· Preparation of construction documents and other deliverables/materials as required.
· Create 3D renderings.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2-5 years experience in a commercial design firm.
- Graduated from an accredited interior design program.
- NCIDQ and/or state licensure preferred or pursuing NCIDQ certification.
- Proficiency in Revit
- Additional proficiencies in Photoshop and Autocad and/or Microstation a plus.
- Knowledge of Lumion and Sketchup preferred.
- Sound working knowledge of building codes, building systems, and construction methods/documents.
- Team-oriented approach to project delivery, experience coordinating the work of other team members and consultants.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
