Licensed Architect – Project Manager

| Brief Job Summary The ideal candidate must be a creative and inspired architect who will: – The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can manage a project, with some oversight, from proposal phase to construction administration. The successful candidate will manage architectural projects from start to finish. Engage projects from initial client briefing through to the final stages of construction. Management of client relationships. Development and presentation of design proposals. – We design all types of structures: Commercial, medical, institutional, municipal, light industrial, heavy industrial. The architect will experience a broad range of project types. Candidate must be able to take ownership of project, whether it is commercial or industrial, new building or addition / alteration, and deliver on the client’s requirements. – The successful candidate should be able to visualize space in three dimensions, have a good understanding of construction technologies, be an effective project manager, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to create designs that are functional, creative, and sustainable. – Professional development – we will facilitate you in maintaining and increasing your professional development hours. – You will work under the direction of a department manager who will provide overall project oversight. – There is the potential to grow in responsibilities and leadership. Responsibilities: – Meet with clients to determine their needs and requirements. – Manage design projects from concept development through to completion. Manage architectural team of technicians and draftsmen. – Develop and present project proposals. – Adjust designs and plans to meet the client’s needs. – Preparation of drawings, specifications, opinions-of-probable-cost, construction documents. – Conduct research and compile reports on feasibility and environmental impact. – Comply with local planning regulations and safety standards. – Determine and adhere to budgets and timelines. – Manage project team and collaborating with other construction professionals. Required Experience: – Degree in Architecture. – Texas licensed Architect or the ability to obtain Texas registration by comity. – Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Revit are essential. – Knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe, RS Means and Sketchup are pluses. – Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. – Knowledge of building codes and regulatory standards. – Strong creative and visualization skills. Physical Requirements – The job requires the ability to sit (or stand) for extended periods at a desk or computer workstation. – Occasional travel to client facilities and project sites require ability to climb ladders, inspect and be physically mobile in and around client construction sites. – Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requirements
Johnson & Pace Incorporated is seeking to hire a licensed architect with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
This position is an “in-office” position and is not for remote workers. Escape the chaos of the City and live in the peaceful piney woods of East Texas!
Must have a working knowledge of Revit, but not required to create production drawings. Will have drafting assistance.
