Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager

BHDS Group is an owner’s representative firm based in Dallas, Texas. Projects include estate residential and commercial, locally and throughout the US.



  • Knowledge of roles and responsibilities of architects, engineers, general contractors and subcontractors with regard to construction.
  • Experience with American Institute of Architects (AIA) contract documents and implementation
  • Review and interpret plans and specifications prior to construction, including attending pre-construction meetings
  • Observe and administer construction projects to confirm compliance with or deviation from project requirements
  • Participate in weekly OAC meetings to facilitate timely and effective progress
  • Create and submit field reports from project observations, noting current activities and recording conditions requiring attention by others.
  • Communicate with construction manager, architects and contractors to resolve design and construction conflicts and facilitate progress and solutions in the field
  • Review contractors’ payment applications to ensure completeness and accuracy with relation to work represented; prepare and review change orders and allowance expenditures.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively use project management software
  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel, Word and Project

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering or architecture plus five years’ experience in building construction administration or construction management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
