2018 AIA Dallas Built Design Awards Welcomes Coren Sharples of SHoP Architects
The AIA Dallas Design Awards Committee is pleased to announce Coren Sharples, Partner of SHoP Architects, as a juror for the 2018 Built Design Awards.
Coren Sharples is a founding partner of SHoP whose interest and broad expertise in material expression at the tactile level has led her to oversee the work of the firm’s interior design group. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business and management from the University of Maryland, and a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University. Coren is integral to the creation of comprehensive solutions that consider design at every scale, as exemplified in her work on the Fashion Institute of Technology A-Labs and New Academic Building, Barclays Center, Google’s Mountain View headquarters offices, and the frog design studio, among many other projects. Her attention to detail comes from a deep understanding and passion for craft; coupled with SHoP’s expertise in digital fabrication and construction technology, the result is smart, efficient, and beautiful work.
The 2018 Awards Announcement Celebration will be held Thursday, October 4th at The Carlisle Room, located on the first floor of Lang & Witchell's iconic Art Deco Lone Star Gas Building. Join us for a celebration of the best built work put forth by Dallas architecture firms.
