Annual Holiday Toy Drive: Mommies in Need
Join AIA Dallas in supporting Mommies In Need, a local nonprofit providing childcare for parents experiencing a health crisis, through our toy drive!
Drop off your donation of toys and supplies before or at our annual Holiday Party and Chapter Awards presented by Risk Strategies on Thursday, December 2 at the AD EX, 325 N. St. Paul Street, Suite 150, Dallas, TX 75201.
Any toys are welcome, but especially things that are good for toddlers and pre-school aged kids. Popular requests include: baby dolls, dramatic play and dress up, craft kits, blocks and building sets, fisher price little people type sets, puzzles, play dough sets, and gift bags and wrapping paper. Also needed are diapers in the bigger sizes (5-6,) wipes, and baby food squeeze pouches.
Parents should never have to choose between taking care of their own health and having safe and loving care for their children. Mommies In Need supports families by providing safe, loving childcare from expertly trained nannies that allow parents to focus on their own health needs. Through their programs like Annie’s Place (a childcare center for families receiving services at Parkland Hospital) and their Virtual Community (one-on-one connection with a "virtual nanny" for families experiencing a health crisis), Mommies In Need has provided over 30,000 hours of childcare.
