Talk About It

About 8 years ago: Mahbuba Nahid K.

Would love to come a be a part of the discussion. Would love to know how firms with limited resources may produce decent renderings using their production software like Revit Architecture and perhaps other free software which are available out there.

TAP in for 2015

Bring in the new year with an architectural rendering discussion with AIA Dallas Technology in Architecture Practice (TAP) Committee

We had some great presentations and discussions in 2014 and want to continue with the momentum.

We want to know what new technology is out there.

To bring in the New Year, join us at this month's TAP committee meeting scheduled for JANUARY 22, 2015. The discussion focus is renderings. With such a diverse and opportune development over the years, from free hand sketching to software integrated design, we all have had some exposure to how to portray a concept in visual form and its workflow. We use rendering roughly through schematic design and design development to convey a story, a dialogue, and some pretty neat images to get a client to visually understand the project. However, there is the behind the scenes on how to get from point A to B to its final product. How has that changed? How many different variations are out there? How much time does it take?

Come see what other firms have researched and are currently using. Let's compare notes, discuss what works or simply doesn't, and answer any questions.

Firms include: The Beck Group, BRW Architects, and WRA Architects.

Have a new technology that you or your firm has discovered and would like to share? We would like to know!

Please note that our committee meetings have changed to the FOURTH Thursday of every month.

Other events for this quarter include a site visit with demonstrations of this new technology and more round table discussions. Be in the know!

Stay tuned for more details.
