When taken with the second installment (Mechanical/Pblumbing), this customized course will lead to competency in systems and processes involved in building design and construction. The evaluation, selection and integration of mechanical, electrical and specialty systems in building design and construction. Upon completion of this course, participants will know how to:
• Incorporate codes, specialty codes and other regulatory requirements in the design of mechanical, electrical and specialty systems
• Apply sustainable design principles to the selection, design and construction of building systems
• Understand principles, analyze and design plumbing, HVAC, electrical, lighting and specialties
