2024 Advanced Leadership Development Program Kicks Off in January

AIA Dallas, in collaboration with SMU Cox School of Business, is offering a new program for the development of senior leaders in the architecture and design professions, including principals, associate principals, partners, junior partners, directors of design, and small firm owners.

The content of the inaugural mini-MBA program will be a blend of individual learning and reflection, lively class discussions led by SMU faculty, and team-based simulations and experiences. Here is what can be expected for the sessions:

January 19 Sessions – Authentic Leadership + Purpose, Power, and Presence owning your Executive Influence [full day, 2 sessions]
February 16 Session – The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Leadership [half day, 1 morning session]

LEADING OTHERS
March 22 Sessions – Hiring, Engaging, and Retaining Great Talent + Building Capability by Coaching and Mentoring Others [full day]
April 19 Session – Creating and Leading High-Performing Teams [half day]

LEADING THE BUSINESS
May 17 Sessions – Evaluating Business and Financial Performance + Business Strategy, Value Creation, and Operating Models [full day]
June 21 Session – Creating a Shared Vision and Communication Styles & Preferences [half day]

LEADING THE ENTERPRISE
July 19 Sessions – Adaptive Strategy [full day, 2 sessions]
August 16 Session – Organization and Personal Branding [half day]

LEADING INTO THE FUTURE
September 20 Sessions – Leading Change + Building a Growth Plan [full day]
October 18 Session – Integration and Closure + Graduation Luncheon with Certificates

Sessions will take place on Fridays, alternating full days (8:00a - 5:00p) and half days (8:00a - 12:00p), at SMU Cox School of Business' Executive Education Center.  Lunch will be provided on full days and graduation.
