Come spend an evening with the Texas Society of Architects, featuring President-Elect Mike McGlone, AIA, along with our Dallas-based 2017 TxA Design Award winners!

The 2017 TxA Design Awards jury, David Miller, FAIA, Julie Snow, FAIA, and Andy Tinucci, AIA, deliberated over 313 projects before selecting 11 to honor. Architects Max Levy, FAIA and Yen Ong, AIA will explore their winning projects:

  • Prospect House, Max Levy, FAIA  (http://www.prospecthousetx.com/about/)
What the jury said: “To take this kind of Hallmark greeting card kind of event and to turn it into something that is much more crisp and much more invented and much more connected to the landscape, I thought was just fantastic.” —Julie Snow, FAIA
  • Winnwood Residence, 5G Studio Collaborative  (http://www.5gstudio.com/index.php/winnwood-i)
What the jury said: “It’s beautiful, it has a lot of sustainable design features, it has geothermal mechanical systems, it’s got a cistern that captures rainwater, it’s LEED platinum. So it has all of these great environmental attributes, and at the same time, it’s beautiful architecture.” —David Miller, FAIA

President-Elect Mike McGlone, AIA will provide an update on TxA's advocacy success during the 2017 legislative session, as well as new communications initiatives emphasizing the value that architects provide to clients and the community.

Reception is at 6:00pm, the program starts at 6:30pm.
