The Building Enclosure Council (BEC) is a network of affiliated architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and others located in major cities across the United States. The Dallas BEC was formed to address durability, design and the unique air, moisture and thermal performance challenges of building enclosures in Texas.

This presentation focuses on plaza decks (including terraces, amenity decks, pool decks, etc.) and good design practices to implement as part of the building waterproofing design.  The course will also focuse on miscellaneous coordination needed with other sub-consultants and on common issues observed in the field, including transitions.  Lastly, we will discuss various solutions to handle unique design challenges and other challenges that continue to arise due to increased landscape design complexity.
