A panel of experts will offer different perspectives of addressing the challenges faced by owners and managers of new building with regard to exterior access and due diligence.  Perspectives and lessons learned will be shared by a testing lab, an enclosure consultant, and a contractor:

Jose Colon

Jose Colon is a Regional Sales Director for Intertek’s Building & Construction division.  With 23+ years of experience in the building products industry, Jose has a widespread understanding of the various requirements that must be met to get a product to market including the preparation of testing plans through the laboratory testing itself. He is present at many tradeshows throughout the year and represents Intertek at industry association meetings and events.

Joseph Solinski

Joseph P. Solinski is President/CEO of Stone & Glazing Consulting, LLC which he founded in 1992. SGC is a full-service Exterior Wall-Roofing-Building Envelope Consulting firm that specializes in turnkey solutions to assist and support Building Owners, Asset Managers and Property Management Teams in addressing their building envelope needs to maintain or restore asset integrity. SGC expertise includes analysis, testing, forensics, design, budget/schedule forecasting, generation of bid documents, project management and quality assurance.  His 40 years’ experience in the industry, with knowledge ranging from Component Fabrication, Exterior Wall Installation, System Design, Project Bidding, Structural Evaluation, Exterior Wall Access, On-Site Project Consultation, Specification Composition, Infield Testing, and Forensic Consulting and Investigations. A specialty approach of Tornado & Hurricane damage assessment and stabilization has come from consulting on disasters experienced over the past 25 years.  His expertise in Exterior Wall Access systems, IWCA I14.1, OSHA, and Cal-OSHA compliance requirements for building Owners enables SGC to contribute by mitigating exposure to potential life safety issues or asset damage. SGC performs all required Cal-OSHA compliance testing and reviews, and develop custom tailored building specific Operations & Procedures Manuals for use by vendors so safety best practices are adhered to and followed holding a Cal-OSHA Scaffold Inspection and Test (SIT) Agency #46.

Daniel Andres, CDT

Daniel Andres is President of RTC Waterproofing & Glass, Inc., a curtain wall and remedial contractor specializing in correcting problems in building exteriors.  A substanital portion of the firm's work deals with the correction of water penetration.  Prior to his 32 years at RTC, Dan was a field consultant for CDC, Inc., a design and consulting firm for the curtain wall industry.  He is certified as an expert witness in Texas and Georgia, and a member of numerous professional organizations including CSI, IIBEC, and BEC.
