Mission:

The Building Enclosure Council (BEC) is a network of affiliated architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers and others located in major cities across the United States. The Dallas BEC was formed to address durability, design and the unique air, moisture and thermal performance challenges of building enclosures in Texas.

Program:

A panel discussion of air and water barriers, including the common issues and mistakes encountered in architectural detail and/or construction practice.

Panelists:

Corey Ball, CSI, Senior Vice President of Risk Management for Weatherization Partners, Ltd.
Corey Ball has been in the construction industry for over 15 years. He handles risk management on and off the job site for commercial and multifamily projects across the southwest market for Weatherization Partners, a marketer and distributor for DuPont™ Tyvek® building materials. He is a DuPont Tyvek Senior Certified Commercial Specialist, a current board member with the Building Enclosure Council in Austin and an active member of the CSI Austin Chapter. 

Michael Rhode, PE, R&D Building Science Engineer for RMax
Mr. Rhodes is a member of Rmax Technical Group as a Research & Building Science Engineer. His roles include new product R&D and testing with a number of current products under development. He helps with technical support for internal and external clients. As the company rep for ASTM E06 Building Performance, International Code Council (ICC), and Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA), he actively attends meetings and conference calls. He’s actively & physically engaged in the installation testing of polyiso insulation & accessories as CI with the goal to provide quality product and install instruction. Prior to joining Rmax, Michael spent two years in Denmark where he finished top of the Master of Science program for Building Energy Design (Building Science) at Aalborg University through the Civil Engineering department. Before persuing his Master’s Degree, Mr. Rhodes enjoyed 13 years as a bridge and structural engineer & is licensed as a Professional Engineer in both California and Texas.

Don Ross, Sales Development Manager for USG
Don Ross is a sales and marketing professional who has 15 years of professional experience in the construction industry. He has 5 years of sales experience for a national construction distribution firm. Don’s current position for USG is a Sales Development Manager for their building envelop covering Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico.  Don holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and an MBA in International Business from SNHU.
