Communities by Design Meeting

Join us in October for a tour of Downtown Garland Square

Downtown Garland Square has been fully renovated to create a vibrant contemporary public space and new identity to the area. Dense programming of the 1-acre plus site includes an art feature, plaza, shade pavilion, custom treehouse in a play zone, fountain, and main promenade. The event lawn is set to accommodate large community events and seating areas throughout allow for smaller gatherings. Project done for City of Garland by Studio Outside in collaboration with Architexas and others.

Join us for a tour of the recently opened park with the design team and understand the process and detailing that brought the vision to life.

CxD Mission:

Communities by Design committee is a forum for the exchange of ideas about how the built environment can enhance the vibrant communities within North Texas. We are committed to advocating for excellence in design, planning, and public policy in the built environment along with building mutually supportive relationships and amplifying community voice.
