The Design Excellence Product Showcase brings together designers and product manufacturers to educate, share, and showcase independent third party-certified products. The Showcase provides a venue to highlight the latest sustainable products in the market, share best practices and resources, and drive market transformation. Designers are provided with knowledge to make informed decisions on the selection, specification, and administration of sustainable building products that support occupant health and contribute to reverse the effects of global climate change in the built environment.

Knowing the characteristics and impacts of materials can help designers improve the health of our planet and its inhabitants. The A&D community has developed a statement – the Architecture and Design Material Pledge – to provide designers and architects with a holistic approach for evaluating and specifying materials (see below for more resources). The AIA is asking firms to commit to the pledge and sign a document of support. The Pledge addresses the areas of Human Health, Climate Health, Ecosystem Health, Societal Health and the Circular Economy. Join us for an inspiring and informational discussion of the Pledge and how to apply the principles in your practice. This event will be showcasing architectural building products and interior design products, so there will be something for everyone!
