Please join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with the ENLACES reception party at the Latino Cultural Center. The ENLACES reception is a time to enjoy music, food, and cocktails while browsing through design projects from local architects and designers of Latin heritage.

This year, Latinos in Architecture Network celebrates its 10th anniversary since founding. At this momentous milestone, we invited back the founders and early leaders of the Network for a panel discussion. Moderated by our current LiA Chair and Vice Chair, the panel will investigate the impact LiA has made in the DFW Metroplex so far, and explore what is to come.

Yesenia Blandon, AIA | HKS | Co-founder of AIA Dallas LiA
Jimmy Castellanos, AIA | CallisonRTKL | Co-founder of AIA Dallas LiA
Al Hernandez, AIA | Stantec | 2015 LiA Chair

The event will start at 5:30p with a happy hour, during that time, guests will be able to check out the exhibition and cast a vote for “People’s Choice.” The program will then move into the auditorium, where the panel discussion will take place, exhibition honorees recognized and the recipient of the LiA Scholarship introduced. We then wrap up the night with more food and drinks.

ENLACES has opened an opportunity for many Latino architects and designers to showcase their works. In the past years, the exhibit has been displayed at AIA Dallas, the Dallas Center for Architecture, the Latino Cultural Center in Dallas, AIA Austin, the Texas Society of Architects' State Convention in Dallas, Fort Worth and Austin, and the AD EX.

Registration is required for this event. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, cash donation towards the LiA Scholarship will be accepted in lieu of a registration fee.

To submit an entry for the exhibition, please visit here. Deadline for submission is end of August.
