Learning Objectives:
1. Understand the differences between different kinds of fiber cement
claddings, including available texture and coating options, and identify ways
in which fiber cement can contribute to sustainability goals.
2. Discuss the lifetime costs of fiber cement and other cladding materials.
3. Describe updates to energy code as it related to the exterior wall
assembly and the advantages and disadvantages of different attachment
methods for fiber cement through continuous exterior insulation.
4. Explain what types of fire tests are required by the code for facades with
fiber cement, including walls with exterior insulation
