COORDINATING SPECIFICATIONS WITH YOUR CONSULTANTS

Depending on how many consultants have been retained to work on a project, ½ or more of the project manual may be made up of consultant sections.  Understanding who is responsible for preparing the respective specification sections is important to have a coordinated project manual.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know who should be responsible for preparing the various consultant sections.
  • Learn how to review the various consultants section to confirm they are coordinated with each other and with the architectural sections.
  • Learn what areas of the work where gaps and overlaps in specification sections tend to occur.
