QUALITY CONTROL – WHO'S RESPONSIBLE, HOW AND WHERE TO SPECIFY

Quality control during a construction project will include contributions from a variety of contributors.  Learn what roles each can play, and how these roles can vary depending on how the specifications are written.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the contractual definition of quality control per AIA A201 and what the usual components to include in the specifications.
  • Understand who should be the primary contributors to a quality control program and what tasks must be performed.
  • Learn what part the architect and its consultants must play in crafting the requirements for a quality control program.
