Water Independence is a comprehensive four-part series that continues the successful Getting to Zero education series for 2017.  This series will provide an overview of the importance of water conservation, proactive methods for water management, policies impacting water conservation and innovative strategies to reduce water consumption to net-zero water.  These learning opportunities will occur through case studies, presentations, and discussions with industry leaders.

ABSTRACT

Part four of the AIA | Dallas four-part series, Water Independence, Session 4: Change discusses methods of implementing effectual change to projects, professions, and the regions.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Define opportunities and approaches for introducing change in regional projects
  • Understand opportunities to advocate for improved water conservation
  • Integrate site and building water conservation analysis into the design process
  • Identify positive examples of improved water independence in the built environment
