Kelly D Mitchell, AIA
Licensed architect and the Principal of Mitchell Garman Architects, Kelly’s design foundation is high-end hospitality. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1989, she has practiced at ZERO3 Inc., Looney & Associates, and Dahl Braden PTM. In 2006 she launched her own practice to notoriety and critical acclaim. Her celebrated design of neighborhood bistro, nonna, was voted one of the “Best New Restaurants of 2008” by D Magazine and Bistro Boulevardier was named in the "Top Ten Restaurants of Texas" in 2012 by Texas Monthly magazine.
Her visionary ideas and attention to detail at residential design have been rewarded as well. Three premiere accomplishments were featured on the Dallas AIA Tour of Homes in 2007, 2009, and 2013.
Sean K Garman, AIA, LEED AP
Licensed architect and Partner of Mitchell Garman Architects, Sean has been practicing architecture and design since 1993. Sean’s passion for high quality design and sustainability stems from his professional experience as well as his education at Montana State University where he received his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees. Having a vast array of experience, Sean’s areas of focus range from restaurants and commercial projects to residential and interiors.
Previously, as Senior Associate and Sustainable Design Leader for PERKINS+WILL - Dallas, Sean concentrated on the design of higher education facilities with a particular interest in complicated science buildings. Sean was instrumental in the design of first two LEED Platinum certified higher education projects in the State of Texas, as well as several other Gold and Silver certified projects.
As a highly-lauded fixture in the local community, Sean is currently serving a second term in two industry organizations: The Dallas Architecture Forum, Board of Directors and the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, Officer of the Executive Committee, VP Programming.
