Interiors Project Manager

The Dallas office of SmithGroupJJR is looking for an experienced Interiors Project Manager to join our team. We are seeking a talented interior architect or interior designer to manage all facets of a project and interiors project team. He/she must be committed to building team relationships and thriving in an environment of collaboration while demonstrating a high degree of creativity and entrepreneurial independence.

Responsibilities

Working with us, you will:
•Manage one or more small to medium-sized projects (including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, fee management and collection).
•Manage a portion of a large-sized project.
•Evaluate project performance.
•Coordinate with consultants.
•Organize and lead team meeting involving consultants and/or owners.
•Establish and maintain project staffing requirements consistent with contractual obligations.
•Determine level of effort required for a given assignment and provides input on scheduling.
•Establish and executes project work plan.
•Provide oversight and monitoring of the work performed by junior staff.
•Follow and enforces quality control procedures.
•Coordinate all trades and agencies related to building design to preserve design intent.
•Obtain agency approvals on construction documents

Qualifications

An ideal candidate has:
•Minimum 7 years of progressive professional experience leading small to medium-sized projects.
•Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
•Professional registration (RA or NCIDQ) required.LEED AP preferred.
•Experience managing high-quality interiors projects of varied scale and complexity required.
•Thorough knowledge of entire project delivery process. Must be comfortable managing the client, the process, and the project team.
•Excellent written and verbal skills, articulate and a strong presenter.
•Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a multi-disciplinary team setting, collaborating, and client satisfaction.
•Proficiency in Revit and AutoCad

SmithGroupJJR offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefit package, including 401(k) and continuing educational reimbursement. We offer 3 weeks of paid time off within the first year of employment, with the option of purchasing additional time off, and pay for 8 federal holidays. We also offer an alternative work schedule that provides employees with an additional 15 days off per year (usually Fridays) to help with work/life balance.
