2B an Architect 2017 - University Registration
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
2017 university registration is now closed. Thank you for your interest!
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to our annual “2B an Architect” event on February 18, 2017 from 1pm to 4pm at the Latino Cultural Center. We welcome back those of you who have participated in this event on past years, and we extend a personal invitation to those universities interested in participating. The “2B an Architect” event is the starting point for high school students in North Texas interested in a career in architecture. We strive to have the best colleges represented and look forward to your participation.
The Educational Outreach Committee in collaboration with community partners reaches out to all North Texas school districts to attract and inform high school students about the opportunities in a career in architecture and allied fields. This event will bring together students with interest in various disciplines of design: Architecture, Engineering, and Construction Science. We have a very diverse student body and a majority of our students are juniors and seniors.
The events of the day will include a college fair and a panel discussion comprised of practicing architects, interns, current students and professors from local universities. This event is free for high school students and to universities attending as well.
Universities attending this event need to sign up by February 1, 2017 and send a representative to man their booth on the day of the event. Many universities send their booth materials to a local alumni and have a group of local alumni man their booths. The Educational Outreach Committee can help you recruit local alumni to man your booth if you need that assistance.
When: Saturday, February 18, 2017 – from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Where: Latino Cultural Center
2600 Live Oak Street
Dallas, TX 75204
We look forward to your participation in this year’s “2B An Architect” event. If you have any further questions, please contact the Education Outreach chair, Daniel Dain, at Daniel.Dain@Stantec.com.
