Architecture and Design Foundation Scholarships, Fellowships, and Grants Available Now

The Architecture and Design Foundation awards more than $60,000 annually to make college and careers in architecture accessible and bring diversity and equity to our related professions. Opportunities are available for emerging and underrepresented professionals, as well as high school, college, and university students interested in studying architecture.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS

NEW!The LGBTQIA+ Leadership Fund will award an AIA Dallas LGBTQIA+ member to attend the LGBT Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Leadership Institute. This program develops leadership skills for LGBT and Ally professionals.

The Emerging Professionals Path to Licensure Scholarship awards young professionals with financial assistance associated with fees and costs of taking the required Architect’s Registration Exams in becoming a licensed architect.

The Women in Architecture Professional Development Fund assists in sending women to local, regional, and national design and leadership conferences to further their education and experience.

TRAVEL AND RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Mary Kolb Berglund Traveling Fellowship & McDermott Traveling Fellowship are awarded for traveling studies in architecture: to research, develop, and disseminate knowledge of the built environment. 

Swank Traveling Fellowship is awarded for the study of craft in architecture; to research, develop and disseminate knowledge relating to the integration of craft and craftsmanship into the built environment.

The Bill Millsap Fellowship: The Art of Landscape Architecture is a stipend to inspire students and young professionals in their study of the intersection of art, landscape architecture, and the cultural and personal relationships inspired by these pursuits. This stipend is envisioned to help facilitate a supplemental experience, research project or experiment in art or creative landscape expression.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS

Academic Scholarships are available for current high school students, recent high school graduates, and undergraduate and graduate degree students studying architecture or a related field.
