AIA Dallas | TEXO: Construction Outlook - What's in the Mix Past '26?
November 5, 2026 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

What’s ahead for the construction industry in 2027?

Texas has led the nation for much of 2026 in construction employment, fueled by major investments in energy generation and export facilities, data centers, and select manufacturing plants. At the same time, the industry continues to face challenges from rising fuel and material costs, growing opposition to various projects, and an increasingly tight labor supply.

Join Ken Simonson, Chief Economist for AGC of America, for an early post-Election Day look at what the construction industry can expect in 2027. Ken will provide insight into the economic trends, opportunities, and challenges shaping construction at the national, Texas, and DFW levels.

Attendees will gain a better understanding of the factors influencing the construction market and what they could mean for the year ahead.
