Coffee & Conversation: City of Dallas Planning + Urban Design

Join AIA Dallas as we welcome Dallas’ new Director of Planning + Urban Design, Emily Liu. Ms. Liu is a fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners and most recently served as the Director of Metro Planning and Design Services in Louisville, Kentucky. Liu comes to Dallas at a pivotal time as the city is poised to consider Forward Dallas, the next comprehensive land use plan; infrastructure investments like I-345, streetcar expansion, and the Convention Center; and a re-write of Dallas’ Development Code. This is an incredible opportunity to hear first-hand from Emily Liu about her vision for Dallas’ planning department and placemaking efforts.
