Committee on the Environment (COTE) Meeting: Mass Timber & Sustainable Design

Matt Kantner, PE, SE will be leading a discussion on mass timber design and construction with a particular focus on mass timber in the south (especially Texas) and the sustainability story behind mass timber construction.

Matt leads EQUILIBRIUM’s growing team in the US from our office in Atlanta. Matt has led the structural engineering effort on over 25 projects at Equilibrium, most of which are mass timber or hybrid construction. Matt is a member of the SEI’s national Sustainability Committee and SE 2050 Committee. He is a voting member of the American Wood Council’s Wood Design Standards Committee – the national committee that is responsible for the technical content of the wood design codes used by all engineers for wood design in the United States.
