Join the AIA Dallas LGBTQIA+ Alliance for a panel discussion focused on mentoring at UTA CAPPA on April 11th. Panelists Jayson Roberts, AIA and architecture student Iman Afghani will share their experiences with the ACE Mentor Program, which prioritizes engaging students and communities traditionally underrepresented in the industry. Iman is a past participant in ACE, while Jayson has been involved with the program since 2007. Adam Boykin with HKS will discuss his firm’s foray into establishing a company-wide mentorship program, including how they connect mentors and mentees across different locations. Leading the discussion will be Gabby Bermea, AIA, past chair of the Texas Society of Architects Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and active member with the ACE program in Austin.
