Now known as Republic Center, the Republic National Bank Building carries a legacy rich in architectural history. The building was designed by Harrison and Abramovitz with Gill & Harrell, with additions made by Harrell & Hamilton/OMNIPLAN. Completed in 1954, it was the first major office building to be completed after World War II in downtown Dallas. At 602 feet in height (including the spire), the building was 53 feet taller than its closest competitor and was distinguished as the “tallest building in Dallas” and “tallest west of the Mississippi River.”
Join us for a tour of the Republic Center, with guides that will highlight original historic materials and spaces, and details that make the building an iconic architectural landmark still today.
