Join the Urban Design committee for an on-site tour of the future Harold Simmons Park. Harold Simmons Park is designed to build a strong connection with neighbors and communities, bridging the physical divide of the river levees, and creating a natural connection between areas north and south of the Trinity River corridor. The park aims to help lift up surrounding communities through intentional civic and economic collaboration.

Meeting location: Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge
Meeting Time: 12:00 – 1:00pm
Speaker: Marcus Shropshire, Director of Capital Projects at Trinity Park Conservancy

Parking is available on the west end of the Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. To access parking for the bridge, if coming from downtown, take Woodall Rodgers towards Singleton over the Trinity River, turn right on Gulden Ln. Continue past the Trinity Groves parking to the stop sign at Canada Drive. Turn right into the parking area for the pedestrian bridge.

We will meet in the plaza at the start of the bridge for a short walk and conversation led by Marcus Shropshire followed by a Q&A. If there are any questions that the group would like to submit in advance, they can be emailed to me at ejones@aiadallas.org.
