A Message from AD EX Managing Director, Katie Hitt, Assoc. AIA

Dear members, colleagues, and friends,

I wanted to share some thoughts as I depart the AD EX. As many of you know, I’ve accepted a new role at a company closer to home that I believe will be a great opportunity to better achieve my personal and professional goals. Leaving is bittersweet, as I’m excited for my new opportunity, but sad to leave such impactful and rewarding work.

To everyone I’ve had the pleasure to work with, I am deeply grateful for my experiences with AIA Dallas and the Architecture and Design Foundation. The unique and diverse opportunities offered here have been unparalleled. I am eternally thankful for being encouraged to explore my varied interests through my work at the Chapter and AD EX. Highlights include establishing the K-12 camps, working with so many of you on Columns, and growing the Foundation’s scholarship program, among so many other memories.

AIA Dallas and the Foundation have become more relevant and impactful since I joined in 2010, and I am proud to have been part of their journeys. My role at AD EX has been made possible through your vision, collaboration, volunteer hours, support, and partnerships. I cherish the friendships I’ve built over the past 14 years and look forward to seeing you all at future AIA Dallas events and in the industry.

I extend my deepest appreciation to all my friends and mentors in the AIA Dallas and AD EX community. I’ll be at the KRob Gallery Party this Thursday, July 25, and would love to see you there. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited for the tremendous growth and opportunities ahead. I’ll always be AD EX’s biggest fan and can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

Warm regards,
Katie Hitt, Assoc. AIA, AD EX Managing Director
