The AIA Dallas Design Awards recognizes outstanding work by AIA Dallas and AIA Northeast Texas architects, both in the metropolitan area and across the country. The purpose of the awards program is to honor the architects, clients, and consultants who work together to achieve design excellence.
Entrants must be an AIA Dallas or AIA Northeast Texas member and licensed architect. The primary design must be originated by a local member. Entries cannot have previously been a winner for the category for which it is submitted. ANNOUNCING THE NEW DIVINE DETAILING AWARD IN 2024
While Built Design entries document a complete building, Divine Detailing entries document the more intimate scope of an architectural vignette. Aspects of an architectural vignette are:
- A space or condition where materials or systems come together
- Design intent communicated to builder by a limited group of related drawings
- Often, but not always, serves as a decisive condition for a project
