AIA Dallas Float Wins Dallas Pride Parade Award


The LGBTQIA+ Alliance’s 2nd Annual Set the Stage Competition, presented by Perkins&Will culminated in the winning design being constructed as a parade float that participated in the 2024 Dallas Pride Parade on Sunday, June 2nd at Fair Park.

The winning design, called “Rainbow Connection” by HKS, Inc. won further accolades at this year’s pride parade, being recognized as the Best Interpretation of the Parade Theme! The design beat the other 160 entries into this year’s event.

Congratulations to the HKS, Inc team, and to the LGBTQIA+ Alliance on their achievement. Check out the video below to hear the float’s designers and architects talk about the concept behind their design and what this event means to them:
