As a symbol of immigration and identity, the cathedral reflects the layered cultural history of Dallas and role of Mexican and Latin American communities in shaping the city’s identity. From 2000 to 2004, Architexas was hired to restore the original structure and to complete Clayton’s design by adding the bell tower and steeple.
