The submission fee is $75; each additional submission will be $50.
No entry fee will be refunded.
New in 2026, The AIA Dallas Residential Design Awards, powered by CRAN program recognizes outstanding residential projects by Dallas architects, both in the metropolitan area and across the country. The purpose of the awards program is to honor the architects, clients, and consultants who work together to achieve design excellence on a range of typologies and specialties within residential design.
The entry can be submitted under any of the following categories:
- Modern Home Small – under 3,000 sq ft (new construction)
- Modern Home Large – over 3,000 sq ft (new construction)
- Modern Remodeled Home Selective – a renovation that does not comprehensively alter an existing home. (kitchen remodel, bath remodel, primary addition, etc)
- Modern Remodeled Home Comprehensive – a renovation that comprehensively alters an existing home
- Traditional Home Small – under 3,000 sq ft (new construction)
- Traditional Home Large – over 3,000 sq ft (new construction)
- Historic Remodeled Home Selective – a renovation that does not comprehensively alter an existing home. (kitchen remodel, bath remodel, primary addition, etc)
- Historic Remodeled Home Comprehensive – a renovation that comprehensively alters an existing home
- Ancillary Structure – a detached, small scale, supporting structure to a home or multifamily structure. (pool cabana, potting shed, garage, accessory dwelling unit)
- Multifamily Small – 1 to 8 Dwelling Units in a single structure
- Multifamily Medium – more than 8 dwelling units, 1 to 3 stories in height, one or multiple buildings
- Multifamily Large – 3 to 7 stories in height, one or multiple buildings
