Eric Tam

Eric Tam is a first-generation Chinese American from Las Vegas, driven by a belief in the power of design to create more beautiful, livable, and affordable communities. His experiences working closely with builders has shaped his appreciation for design-build and for the creativity that arises from bringing different perspectives and expertise to a problem. He believes the best projects emerge through collaboration – when designers and builders work together to craft solutions that are both thoughtful and practical.

Eric is a designer at Shipley Architects. Before relocating to Dallas, Eric lived in the San Francisco Bay Area where he focused primarily on multifamily housing projects. He lives in a historic loft near Deep Ellum with his girlfriend and cat, Buffalo.
