Justin Leal

Justin Leal is a versatile Design Leader at Gensler with 9+ years of experience, who has been leading teams to deliver a diverse set of mixed-use projects ranging from masterplan development, corporate campuses, boutique office, retail, food and beverage, multifamily, and more. His approach avoids preconceived notions, instead grounding each project in research, analysis, and programmatic insight to uncover solutions uniquely suited to client and context.

Justin has been on the AIA Tour of Homes committee for the last 5 years and has been Co-Chair of the committee for the last 2 years. He has actively participated in UTA’s mentorship program and continues to be a guest reviewer for different universities across the country. Justin is an award-winning designer winning three AIA Dallas Design Awards, a TXA Design Award for a healthcare project in Kenya, and a finalist for 2025 Best Restaurant & Bar Design in the world to name a few.

He is a Texas Tech Alumni, having graduated from the architecture program with both his Bachelors and Master of Architecture from Texas Tech University. He graduated with a certificate in Digital Design Fabrication and continues to utilize those skills in his day to day work. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, trying new food, and his yearly summer trip to the beach on the east coast.
