Sophie Bramall

Sophie Bramall, RIBA, ARB is a principal at Perkins&Will Dallas where she leads the retail practice group in the creation of retail and mixed-use environments that feel welcoming, meaningful, and genuinely integrated into everyday life. With a career spanning major shopping and entertainment districts in the Middle East and extensive work across Texas and North America, she brings a global perspective informed by deep local understanding. Originally from the UK, Sophie spent several years in the UAE before relocating to Dallas in 2015, where she now supports retail and mixed-use developers as an architect, strategist, and designer. Sophie works with her team to align vision, concept, and execution, ensuring projects deliver both design quality and real-world performance.

At the core of Sophie’s practice is connection, helping clients bring their values to life, helping guests feel they belong, and ensuring destinations resonate with the communities and places they call home. She brings an elevated, experience-led lens to each project and approaches retail as a platform for engagement and meaning, designing environments that create authentic moments that rise beyond the transactional nature of shopping. “We think about what truly matters to our guests, and we find ways to help them connect to those things in a much more authentic way. It’s about creating the feeling that they’re a part of something more.” Outside of Work, Sophie enjoys stepping away from screens and busy schedules to ride horses with her daughter.  She loves traveling with her family, often returning to Europe (including the UK) to visit friends and discover new places.
