An exploration of various spaces and places that have undergone preservation, repurposing, demolition, neglect, or have been forgotten over time. This department seeks to share the rich and unique histories of featured locations through the perspectives of diverse experts, incorporating archival materials that showcase their past.

David Preziosi, FACIP, Hon. AIA Dallas
David is the executive director of the Texas Historical Foundation, which works to preserve the history of Texas by providing grants for projects across the state. Previously he served as the executive director for Preservation Dallas from 2012 to 2022 where he worked to save Dallas’ historic places. Before moving to Dallas, he worked for in Mississippi in city planning and as the executive director of the Mississippi Heritage Trust, a preservation nonprofit. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design, a Master of Urban Planning, and a Certificate in Historic Preservation, all from Texas A&M University.
